COURSE CLOSING DATE
We’ve had a great season with some excellent fall weather. Unfortunately all good things eventually come to an end. Sunday November 10th will be the final day with the pins in. On Monday, November 11th the greens will be closed for the season. The range, practice facility, club storage, locker rooms and food & beverage services will also close at this time.
The Golf Shop will remain open with some modified hours which will be communicated in future golf shop updates.
Starting Saturday, November 2nd the Golf Shop hours will be 8:00 - 4:00 pm daily. Food & Beverage will be open 12:00 - 4:00 pm daily (up until Sunday, November 9th). All hours are weather dependent.
Fall aeration is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 4th. During this time contractors will be on site performing aeration on the greens. The golf course will remain open during aeration HOWEVER, if you are playing a hole in which the contractors are currently working on, you will need to pick up and continue play on the next hole. Please note, there may be multiple holes at any given time with contractors working.
The active handicap season in Ontario end today, Thursday October 31st.
Scores made at any golf course observing an inactive season are not acceptable for handicap purposes.
Scores made at a golf course in an area observing an active season must be posted for handicap purposes, even if the golf club from which the player receives a Handicap Factor is observing an inactive season.
For example, if a member plays golf in Florida during the month of January (which observes a year-round active season), any scores made in Florida are acceptable and must be posted to Golf Canada before the beginning of the active season in Ontario.
