Good Afternoon,
Our 2021 Club Championships kicked off earlier this morning! Check out the events section on member central to follow along with scoring (updated as player’s finish their rounds).
Today’s short newsletter will bring you up to date on the calendar of events for August. We also have some new fitting dates as companies such as Taylormade have begun to release new irons to their lineups.

THE LP CUP
The LP Cup is a 3-day ryder cup style competition. This is a new event to our calendar after a successful trial run in 2019. The event is eligible to Platinum, Gold & Silver members and features a limited field of 45 players. The LP Cup will run from Friday, August 13th to Sunday, August 15th. There will be 3 teams of 15 players each - with each team captained by a member of the professional staff. On Day 1, players will compete in four ball matchplay (also known as two-person best ball). On Day 2, the field will be split and players will either compete in Foursomes (alternate shot) or a two person scramble. Finally, on Day 3 players will play individual matches with competitions teeing off in threesomes and playing two matches at the same time. Each match is worth a point, and the team with the most points at the end of the 3 days will be crowned LP Cup champions. Cost for the event is $60 pp and registration will open on Wednesday, August 4th.
MEMBER/MEMBER
Our Popular Member/Member event is schedule for August 28th & 29th. We will be opening registration on Friday, August 6th. The member/member tournament is unique in that we have a number of different formats in play over the course of the weekend. Teams are awarded points based on where they finish in respect to to field in each discipline.
We expect to hear news of the next stage of reopening (and what will or will not be allowed) prior to August 6th. Our current intention is to run the Member/Member as a 9:00 am shotgun on both days. As such, the maximum number of players would be 120 (or 60 teams). If we are unable to accommodate a shotgun start with updated covid protocols we will revert to regular tee times. More information will be posted once we know what the restrictions will be.
GUEST APPRECIATION DAY
On Monday, August 23rd we will host a Guest Appreciation Day.
COST: $185 per twosome (1 guest & 1 member)

Gentlemen - stay tuned to your weekly Men’s League emails as information will be coming out in the next week about our Men’s League MEGA Party on Thursday, August 12th.
FITTING DAYS
Want to try to newest equipment without the pressure to buy? Want an opportunity to take a properly fitted club immediately onto the course and test it against your own. NOW YOU CAN! Get ready for our Weekly Wednesday Fitting Days on the Lookout Point Practice Range. Thanks to our partnerships with Callaway, PING and Cobra we have fitting components for irons, drivers & some woods and hybrids for each of these brands. Golf Shop lead Tim Levert will be taking appointments for fittings every Wednesday in August. Reminder - we have limited components and not necessarily everything that PING, Callaway & Cobra offer - but we certainly have the experience and knowledge to help you make an informed decision. TAYLORMADE FITTING DAY
Taylormade are poised to release an update to their popular P790 line of irons and we have arranged a fitting day here on Sunday, August 15th from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Taylormade master fitter Ryan Pepper will be on site to fit all members who made an appointment. Appointments can be made by clicking the button below
